How to Join our Forum!

Our new forum is a great new tool that we have access to. It will allow us to safely share information, as a community. This tutorial will guide you in how to create an account for this forum. If you have any questions, you may send an email to our Webmaster who will be happy to guide you.

Firstly I want to mention that privacy and security is important to us. While we do ask for some information, we only ask for it for verification and records purposes. Only the website administrators can view any private information such as your name, email, or street. Your Username and Ward are the only fields which other users can view. If you wish to join the forum, but have privacy concerns, please contact me directly at 716-880-9556 or via email at and I will see what I can do about getting you registered in a secure manner.

You likely see the Register tab above this post. Clicking on it will bring you to the Account Registration page. However if you click on it now, you will loose this page. Instead, click on this Register Link here in the post, which will open up the registration page in another window in your browser. This will allow you to continue reading this page, while you can follow along while you register.

On the registration page, you will be asked to choose your Username. Your Username can be anything. It does not need to be your real name. In fact we advise that you choose a nick name. But this is up to you.

You must enter in a valid email address, and your First and Last names. This information is only visible to admins, and only used for validity / authenticity purposes.

You will be asked to select which Ward you reside in. If you don't know, the North Tonawanda City's website has a listing of Ward Maps on their website. If you own a business or work in the city, yet don't reside in the City, or if you in some way are affiliated with our group, but don't reside in the City, you may select N/A. The Ward selection is visible to other members.

You are then asked what Street you live on. This is for our records, and will only be visible by administrators. Other users will not be able to see this.

The Group Title is a visible field in which you may enter a special title such as Member or Treasurer or even Concerned Citizen. This field is voluntary, and not required. You may completely ignore it.

The Special Code is a 10 digit code which is handed out personally to verified residents and members of the community. If you have a code, enter it. Otherwise you may leave it blank. It mostly just makes it easier for us to verify that you are an authentic member of the community.

The Terms and Conditions of Use is an evolving document, but it exists for liability purposes, as with any website. We also like to ensure that only Adults over the age of 18 are participating.

The CAPTCHA at the bottom of the page needs to be clicked before proceeding, and clicking the Create New Account button at the very bottom.

You will see a notification that your account has been created and is awaiting approval. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER, or your 'ALL MAIL' folder. Sometimes automated emails don't end up in your primary inbox.

Once approved, you will get an email which looks like the message above. Simply click on the link provided in the email, and it will direct you to this website so you can Log In for the first time. If you do not get this email, check your Spam inbox. If you still don't have it, please contact It is possible that you were approved, but for some reason didn't get the activation email.

The link above brings you to a one time login page.

Simply create your password now, and scroll down to click "Save".

You are now logged in, and may view the forum.
